PENDAMPINGAN PERENCANAAN TEKNIS DAN IMPLEMENTASI PEMBANGUNAN RUMAH SINGGAH “PONDOK KEBUN” DI KOTA PAGAR ALAM

Abstract

Technical assistance for the planning and implementation of a field shelter construction project was carried out as a community service activity aimed at supporting the development of agricultural and plantation infrastructure in Pagar Alam City. The purpose of activity is to provide assistance in the preparation of technical planning and implementation of the construction of shelter houses. The assistance program was implemented through several stages, including field surveys, identification of user requirements, preparation of technical drawings and planning documents, development of a cost estimate plan, and supervision during the construction process. The methods employed consisted of field observations, consultations and discussions with community members, technical building design, construction monitoring, and evaluation of the completed work. The results indicate that the technical assistance program improved the quality of both planning and construction processes, resulting in a field shelter that is more functional, safe, and suitable for users’ needs. In addition, the program enhanced farmers’ understanding of the importance of applying sound engineering principles in the construction of simple buildings. This activity also represents the implementation of the university’s Tri Dharma through collaboration between academics and the local community in supporting the development of agricultural and plantation infrastructure in Pagar Alam City. The constructed field shelter is expected to function optimally and provide sustainable benefits for agricultural and plantation activities
